Each week 14 songs are played and voted on by fan votes. 10 continue on and 4 new songs are introduced. We are played on 3 online radio stations in 54 countries, and I release the countdown as a podcast episode as well and will be on all major streaming platforms. There is also Spotify Playlists that all entrants will be added to when their song is introduced. Plus I make a YouTube video introducing all the artists in the countdown. Reba Nicole, a native of Houma, Louisiana has been actively pursuing music since she was 5 years old. She began piano and voice lessons around this time and quickly fell in love with how music made her feel. In 2005, her family made a big move to Tullahoma, Tennessee. Here, she met a few of her inspirations, Amy Cooley and Peggy Burton. At nine years old, she became aware of the power that lyrics can hold, and began her writing career. Reba has been performing in the local South Jackson Goes Country Show every year for the last 15 years! This is really where she found her voice and love for performing on stage! Around age 15, Reba picked up the guitar and began using those skills to dig deeper into her writing. Since then, Reba has become a traveling nurse in Labor & Delivery. “I want to thank my parents for believing in me and supporting me always! With their help, I’ve challenged myself to the big stage and now work with big-time musicians Charlie Allen, Johnny Garcia, and others! If it weren’t for Tiffany (Charlie’s fiancé)and my parents, I never would’ve met Charlie! I am incredibly grateful to soon release my new album! Be on the lookout for my new single, “Pour Me Some Whiskey!”
Music From Muscle Shoals (Then, Now and Forever), hosted by David Havens is music from the Muscle Shoals area, including Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, Fame, and other studios in the surrounding areas. This music had an undeniable influence on american popular music of all formats.

This week's menu features the amazing vocals of Phoenix, Arizona's Jane N The Jungle! Jane N’ The Jungle, is a force to be reckoned with rock band, lead by female powerhouse vocals. In 2013, childhood friends Jordan White (lead vox) and Brian Dellis (guitar), began writing songs together. Years later these songs turned into them forming Jane N’ The Jungle. Dellis is a self-taught guitar player who grew up playing in punk rock bands. Bryan Dague (bass), also known as “Big B”, joined the band in 2018 after recording for “Concrete Jungle” at Gravity Studios in Chicago, IL. The rock band combo creates a distinctive sound that blends rock ’n’ roll, 90’s alternative and modern rock crediting Heart, Pat Benatar, and Soundgarden as some of their influences. We talk with Jane's frontwoman Jordan on this week's Blue Plate Special. |
