With a little bit of bluegrass, a little bit of blues and classic vocal harmony, this group is a taste of something old and something new. They shine new light on some of the greatest hits of countrys’ past, and also bring a fresh new sound built on the foundations set forth by the icons of the past. Listen every Friday at 5pm central on WFMC Jams by clicking the Listen Live link at the top of this page. The Georgia Songbirds Weekly Top 10 Countdown is open to Independent Artists. Each week 14 songs are played and voted on by fan votes. 10 continue on and 4 new songs are introduced. We are played on 3 online radio stations in 54 countries, and I release the countdown as a podcast episode as well and will be on all major streaming platforms. There is also Spotify Playlists that all entrants will be added to when their song is introduced. Plus I make a YouTube video introducing all the artists in the countdown. Music From Muscle Shoals (Then, Now and Forever), hosted by David Havens is music from the Muscle Shoals area, including Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, Fame, and other studios in the surrounding areas. This music had an undeniable influence on american popular music of all formats.
On the third Monday of each month at 5pm central for two hours, click the "Listen Live" button at the top of this page, and David will take you back to the days where it all began through today's stars, and tomorrow's future stars and tap into this limitless resource called Muscle Shoals Music. Interviews with those who made it happen, and those that continue to make it happen will be in future shows to come!
