The Rough & Tumble are as easy to detect as a stray dog on your doorstep-- and as difficult to send home. The dumpster-folk, thriftstore-Americana duo, consisting of Mallory Graham & Scott Tyler, have been hobbling around the country in their 16’ camper since 2015, when their Nashville landlord left them without heat during an ice storm for 12 days. Then she tried to hike the rent. Enough was enough, and The Rough & Tumble gave their 30 days notice at their jobs and their lease, sold most of what they owned, and hopped into their shoddily built camper, in spite of the lot salesman's advice. They picked up a couple of actual strays along the way-- two 100lb dogs, Puddle & Magpie Mae-- and have been making themselves at home in living rooms, bars, theaters, and festivals across the country. They've been recognized as a Feature Showcase Artist at 2018 SERFA, and a 2018 honorable mention for the Listening Room Network.

Even at their start in 2011, The Rough & Tumble are collectors. Trinkets, instruments, stories shoved in cupholders, and scraps of paper sticking out of old books they never planned to read, the duo couldn’t resist filling their pockets with tiny things that may be useful down the road. Until they hit the road. Limited in space, The Rough & Tumble are a new kind of collector: songwriting with illustration, and arranging each song with a menagerie of instruments, ranging from acoustic guitars to mailbox snares to a banjulele. "Their Americana music is restorative, their performance highly entertaining, their orchestra of unusual instruments intriguing, and… jokes and stories are worthy of an HBO special." (Linda Bolton, Cozy Cabin House Concerts).

Born in Hawaii to a Singaporean mother and Vietnamese father, Michael Allen Magliulo spent most of his young life among the beaches and rainforests of the Big Island in the small town of Hilo. He fell in love with country music at the age of 12, and quickly discovered a penchant for songwriting. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Garth Brooks, George Strait, Billy Joel and Brooks & Dunn, he dedicated himself to his new craft and developing his musical talent, and knew that one day he wanted to move to Nashville and pursue a career in country music.

His path took him through Southern California, where he earned a degree in Critical Writing from USC. After graduating, Michael lived near the City of Angels for over a decade. His experiences in life and love during this period led him to truly find his voice as a writer. It is also where he would meet his future wife, Lynzee, who lit a fire underneath him that eventually found them moving to Nashville in 2016 to fulfill his boyhood dream.

Since moving to the Nashville area, Michael has played a number of local venues including Back Alley Diner, Just Love Coffee, Live Oak Music Row, Belcourt Taps, Opry Mills Unplugged, Douglas Corner, and the world-famous Bluebird Cafe. He is a recent finalist in the Shine On Series Singer-Songwriter Showcase hosted by the Lynchburg Winery and American Craft Distillers of Lynchburg, and will be performing on the Main Stage at the 1st Annual Lynchburg Music Fest this fall, alongside major label country artists like Jamey Johnson, Joe Diffie and Montgomery Gentry.

With a lifelong passion for writing and performing on display, Michael continues to expand his fan base and introduce his music to new ears every day. But even as his popularity grows, Michael remains modest and humble, the same small town kid from Hawaii that he has always been.

WestWend is an Americana/country duo comprised of Jonathan Maness (guitar, vocals) and Wendy Crowe (vocals). Established in 2011 in Knoxville, Tennessee, they perform and record new traditional country music. With Jonathan’s roots in bluegrass and Wendy’s roots stemming from the Delta blues, classic country, and Motown, they have come together to create a sound all their own.

WestWend’s latest CD, “Linger For A While”, takes bluegrass standards and makes them new again, while their originals capture their audience with a traditional flavor. Wendy’s voice has been best compared to Alison Krauss, while Jonathan’s rich baritone and agile flatpicking are well known to audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. WestWend has performed at some of the biggest festivals in the United States and Europe including: the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion, the National Cornbread Festival, the St. Augustine Seafood festival, the Pensacola Great Gulf Festival and more. They also performed a 14 day tour in 5 european countries, including the Spring Bluegrass Festival in Switzerland. They have also opened for Rhonda Vincent, Guy Clark, and Tyler Hilton.

The road goes on forever for WestWend and their second album is set to be released in late 2018. Whichever way the wind blows, you can be sure to see WestWend in a town near you.
