WFMC Jams

WFMC Jams is an online internet radio station committed to bringing you original music as well as your favorite classics from a variety of local artists in the area. The station was founded on June 24, 2012 right after the Third Annual Fam Jam music festival in Manchester, TN. The idea came up as a way to continue to give back to the local and regional songwriters and performers in the area year round by promoting their music.

The first ever Exit 111 Music Festival is being held from October 11-13th at Grand Stage Park in Manchester this weekend featuring a very appealing variety of rock and metal.  Headliners filling the bill this year include many legendary groups such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard, Guns N Roses, Slayer, ZZ Top, and many more.  WFMC Jams is excited to be part of the festival's first year and provide onsite coverage throughout the weekend and interviews and with various artists.

WFMC Jams caught up with Watermox Friday before their set and talked about where their band name came from, some details about their new release that came out October 11th titled  "Headlong", and much more:

Blackstone Cherry performed on the Hell stage at 5:45 Friday evening, and WFMC Jams had the chance to interview a few of the members a few hours before taking the stage:

Ava Davis is a 22 year old singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN. Influenced by the sounds of Joss Stone and Colbie Caillat, Ava’s vocal styling is an infusion of pop and blues punctuated by her own unique twist. A soulful songstress, Ava has been characterized as a female John Mayer.
Ava started entering competitions at a young age and rapidly began capturing both judges and audiences attention. Most notably, she placed in the top 5 of the national "CCM Create an Artist” contest. She has also won the “Sing your heart out” competition, “Rising Star of TN”, and many others.
Having performed across the Southeast, Ava is no stranger to the stage. She began performing at fairs and festivals at the age of 12. Since then, she has performed at venues, such as, the Commodore Grille, 3rd and Lindsley, Opry Mills Mall, Wild Wing Cafe, Twangs, The Fillin Station, The Nashville Palace, The Row and many others. Ava has become a crowd favorite for music lovers of all ages.
Living in Nashville has given Ava the opportunity to meet and work with several award-winning songwriters and producers. She is currently writing for her second EP to be released later this year.

"In the House" at the Grinder House is broadcast live on WFMC Jams every Friday from 6-8pm central.
