This year the Third Annual May Day Music Festival helps a Music Brother in need!  Kerry Gilbert a well known singer/songwriter has been battling cancer for some time now. He has strength of a thousand guitarist and is now going to battle again. We are here to help raise money for Mr. Gilbert and help take the stress of bills off him while he battles!

Kerry Gilbert

When Kerry Gilbert began the KGB in 1992, he never imagined that he would still be getting to do what he loves today. After working with some of the best musicians in the Shoals area and in Nashville, Kerry has put together a group of six individuals who all have a passion for entertaining. Donny Carpenter, Mitchell Curtis, Shane Goodson, Randy Kimbrough and Jim Seales have joined Kerry to complete a band that has become one of the most talked about bands in North Alabama.

Because these guys have all come from different musical backgrounds and have worked with some of the most well known musicians in the United States, they are able to provide a unique blend of musical genres. They have such a chemistry on stage that it draws their audiences in and brings them to their feet time and time again.

"This band is definitely the best collection of musicians that I have ever worked with, I am amazed at their overall attitude...these guys are like family to me." -- Kerry Gilbert

Beat Atlanta Online Magazine (After seeing Mother Legacy at Madlife in Woodstock, GA):
Where do I start? These 2 blend as one in harmony in every aspect of the word! They play off each other’s energy in a perfect “yin/yang” kind of way. Shay Collins and “Just” Steve quite often make the drive to Woodstock, GA from Chattanooga, TN to perform on the patio at Madlife. They may need a bigger patio! It was packed! People from across the street were cheering and clapping!
From the first song,”Burning House” and that incredible harmony, to several of their originals, “Blame it on the Rain”, “Guess”, “Good Kind of Hurt”, and others... that patio was spilling over into the parking lot! When these 2 are on the stage, you can’t help but listen. People flock to them.. hence, “Mother Flockers!”
They will be on the patio at Madlife every first Tuesday of the month for bike night. If you come see them once, you’ll be back! And that little issue of keys getting locked inside their van along with many of the things they needed to do their show, was no match for Mother Legacy! The show must go on.. and it did! And it was phenomenal!
