The Grandview Mountain Pickers are the five person bluegrass band that is young, entertaining and good. The Grandview Mountain Pickers began touring in November 2016 and in 2017 the group played to 50 events. Mother and manager Jackie Grant has already acknowledged around 70 events for 2018 planned. The band will be appearing at Banjo’s BBQ in Spring City on the first and third Friday of each month and they will be performing at the Cleveland Blues and bluegrass festival on March 24th and at Nickel Row Music Hall in Pikeville on March 31, 2018.

For more information, check out their facebook page, Grandview Mountain Pickers.

The five performers are Hannah Grace(17 years old), Rebekah Faith(15 years old), Mary Ruth 15, Lydia Hope(age 13) and Bubba Elijah(11 years old).

Hannah is a beginner on the stand up bass, Rebekah has played the rhythm guitar for 5 years, Mary has been playing the Banjo for two years, Lydia is a beginner on the fiddle and Bubba(Elijah) has about a year on the mandolin.

The kids have been singing and playing music since since they were big enough to talk in church just not bluegrass style. The banjo player really got a love for her banjo about two years ago and really has blossomed with her playing. Through her love and desire the other siblings have joined in with the same passion and desire. Their vocals and musical abilities are growing daily. They have a dedication, desire and drive to be the best

Their favorite song to play and most requested ROCKY-TOP and favorite venue has been the “Nine Mile Bluegrass Festival”

"In the House" at the Grinder House is broadcast live on WFMC Jams every Friday from 6-8pm central.
