The tradition continues on with the 23rd Annual Rally at the River—a two-day benefit concert at McFarland Park in Florence, AL! The Rally at the River was founded by Peggy McCollum in 2003 as a way to pay it forward to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a leading nonprofit medical center focused on treating and defeating pediatric catastrophic diseases, primarily childhood cancer.
Many local bands and musicians came out playing live music to further promote the cause and awareness including:
The Winzel Brothers, The Lucky WhoreShoe Band, Dixie Mafia, The Rockin River Band, Jilda Watson, Taylor Grace, Rodney Booth, Music City Misfits, Lindy Urban Band, Chad Nelson, Grace Town, Brian Holder, Michael Mayes, Bama Border (with Wayne Chaney), Brad Guin, and Ma’ma Nim
In addition to live music, a motorcycle rally kicked off Saturday morning at 9am, food vendors, a silent auction, prize drawings, and other family-friendly offerings to help raise proceeds.
If you missed out on the event, it's never too late to donate. Visit the official St. Jude website for more information.
